Destination City Information for Beijing

Beijing's "The Temple of Heaven" is a complex of Ming Dynasty sacrificial buildings where the emperor would pray at the winter solstice. Qinian Dian, or the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, has beautifully intricate and symbolic architectural detail, such as the four Dragon Well Pillars, which represent the seasons. The temple complex is an architectural feat and a magnificent symbol of ancient Chinese culture.
